How it works
Zip (formerly Quadpay) splits purchases into four payments over six weeks. Larger purchases can use Pay in 8. The Zip app can make a one-time card so you can use it at many stores that don't offer Zip at checkout.
What it costs
There's no interest, but Zip charges a fee on many orders, which depends on the order and your state and is shown before you confirm. Missing a payment can add a late fee.
Credit checks and reporting
Zip uses a soft check to verify your identity and finances, which doesn't affect your score. Approval isn't guaranteed.
Good to know
Signing up needs a US mobile number and a debit or credit card for repayments.
Terms checked October 2026. Services change their terms, so the terms shown at checkout are the ones that count.
