  2. Turn on Auto-Brightness and Reduce Screen Brightness—Auto-Brightness saves energy because your screen uses less power in dark places. To adjust auto-brightness: Tap Settings Display & Brightness (Brightness & Wallpaper For iOS 7) > Slide Auto-Brightness to On/green. The brighter the setting for the screen, the more power it requires. To reduce the screen brightness: Tap Display & Brightness > move slider as needed.
  3. Turn Off Location Services—Save some power and turn off Location Services if you’re not using it. Turn off Location Services by: Tap Settings > Privacy > Location Services > move slider to Off/white.
  4. Background App Refresh—If you’re not too familiar with this feature, it works by looking at the apps you use the most, and the time of day that you use them. Then it automatically updates them for you, this way, the latest information is waiting for you the next time you open the app. To turn it off: Tap Settings General > Background App Refresh. Then you can either disable the feature entirely or just for specific apps that you want to use it with.
